Canada could not be fully represented abroad without opportunities for the Embassy, guests, and the public to celebrate our love for our national past-time: hockey. In the last 25 years, the Embassy has hosted a number of hockey events, including several viewings of the Stanley Cup, a visit from hockey legend Mark Messier in 2007, viewing parties for the Winter Olympic gold medal hockey games in 2010 and 2014, and a reception for members of Canada's gold medal Women's Olympic hockey team. |
