Every four years, Washington plays host to one of this country's most memorable political events, the inauguration of a newly elected President of the United States. For the last 25 years, Canada has had the privilege of a front-row seat as the inaugural parade and presidential motorcade make their way down Pennsylvania Avenue.
Each inauguration is a special moment in US history. During the 2009 and 2013 inaugurations of President Obama, the Embassy opened its doors to many special guests as well as to the Canadian and international media, all eager to witness history in the making. |
