Celebrating Canada Day and Independence Day:
While the Embassy has always celebrated Canada Dry and Independence Day, these celebrations truly became the Talk of the Town when this building opened its doors 25 years ago.
The Embassy's location between the White House and the Capitol Building, along with its public courtyard and rooftop terrace, had made it the perfect setting for yearly celebrations of our two nation's national holidays. Over the years, the Embassy has hosted barbeques, live musical performances, Calgary Stampede-style pancake breakfasts and was recently ranked by the Washington Post among the top spots to watch the 4th of July fireworks. |
