Existing comment: Called "Eureka!", it's an audio-kinetic sculpture by George Rhoads. Basically, a screw device (blue) lifts balls up to the top of the sculpture. From there, the balls travel somewhat randomly over a number of paths before they reach the bottom and come back up again. There are a number of signs around it which give you a number of details:

Eureka! was commissioned by Discovery Networks and constructed at Rock Stream Studios in Ithaca, New York.
