This .44 caliber Colt revolver and vest belonjed to Major Carter Moore Braxton, an engineer-turned-artilleryman who called Fredericksburg home. On the night of May 2, Braxton maneuvered Confederate artillery batteries to support Jackson's flank attack. His guns took position only a few hundred yards west of the visitor center. |
