Rick, the cartoonist and co-creator of the "Baby Blues' daily comic strip, contacted me through Mike Rhode to photograph message trucks that were being sent up for the 2018 March For Our Lives event here in Washington DC. I read the strip regularly but suck at names so I had no idea who he was but the cause sounded good so I popped around and photographed them near the Capitol and then went on my way. A few weeks later, he sent me this sketch which was wonderful. It was only then that I realized who he was. |
