Art Yard Pour Mural:
Created by artist Kelly Towles of Washington DC
Over 100 gallons of brightly-colored Sherwin Willaims paint were used to create this free-flowing mural. The paint was watered down so that it would flow and drip better down the side of the building.
The artist used a bucket lift to get high up next to the six level building where he carefully poured gallons and gallons of paint down the surface of the building, especially over the letters of the sign that reads Art Yards.
Working by himself, the artist completed the Pour Mural in only about six hours. Much of his paint pouring was seen on local TV news programs.
He was REALLY messy when he was done with the mural (look for his picture online).
The Pour Mural, facing busy M Street and across from the Metro station, also acts as a colorful sign for all of the art-related activities taking place at Art Yards DC.

Please don't try this at home, kids.
