Existing comment: Selection of the Korean War Unknown at the "Punchbowl" 1958:
The US Army held the selection ceremony for the Korean War Unknown at the National Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii, also called the Punchbowl because it is located in a volcanic crater. On May 15, 1958, the Army disinterred four unknown killed in the Korean War. Master Sergeant Ned Lyle chose the one to be honored as the Unknown of the Korean War.
