The French Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is located underneath the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The French Tomb includes an eternal flame, which inspired Jacqueline Kennedy's decision to include one at President John F Kennedy's grave.
The British Tomb of the Unknown Warrior is located at Westminster Abbey in London. The US Medal of Honor has been bestowed on both of these and other allied unknown of the First World War. |
