Another view of the National Archives. Despite the impressive appearance, this is actually the least-known side of the building. This is where the researchers enter to study the actual repository of information. It's the other (Mall) side of the building that has the public entrance to see the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
The original FDR Memorial (the small chunk of marble about the size of an office desk) is off-picture to the right. |
