This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, the largest recorded in Japan's history. America responded with essential supplies, critical aid, and heartfelt messages of hope when Japan needed it most.
The earthquake may have shaken the country, but it strengthened Japan and America's bond. Today, these sculptures celebrate the Unshakable Friendship shared by our nations as symbols of our long-standing Alliance, present partnership, and bright, united future.
