In 2011 an earthquake damaged the Washington Monument. Engineers fixed the monument with metal pins and stone patches. Look closely, and you can see some of the repairs.
Which way should you go? As a surveyor, George Washington used a compass to guide him as he drew maps. Use the large compass rose on the floor to find your way around the monument.
