The State Rooms:
Located on the First Floor, the distinctive State Rooms play an important role in official entertaining. Bill signings and performances often taken place in the East Room. The Red Room and Green Room provide settings for smaller ceremonies and private functions. Receptions are often hosted in the Blue Room, while larger banquets are frequently served in the State Dining Room. Not all events are held indoors. Ceremonies for visiting dignitaries, cookouts, and music festivals take place on the South Lawn. |
