In Winter Residence
The White House grounds have been part of the traditional Annual Christmas Bird COunt. This survey has been conducted by the Audubon Nauralists [sic] Society of the Central Atlantic States.
The results of this count suggest that the average winter resident population numbers 150 individual birds representing a dozen species.
Throughout the year, these attractive grounds provide food and protection for a large and varied population. |
