"In & Out - a personal experience of library in China 1970s" , Rainbow of Wisdom is the sculpture created for the main atrium of the library. The medium is acrylic and stainless steel.

Suikang Zhao has referenced a Baroque feel without any literal motif but in modern simplicity. Mr Zhao has created an up lifting arched space with a balance of symmetry. Every differently curved line addresses the issue of the vertical space by contrasting the vertical columns, yet in a manner, conforming to the vertical architecture.

The Native American text embedded within the sculpture adds to the artist's view that this work is designed to be universal and not a fixed linear view point:

The soul would have no rainbow if the eye had no tears.
When you die, you will be spoken of as those in the sky, like the stars.
We are from Mother Earth and we are going back to Mother Earth.
To touch the earth is the have harmony with nature.
