Sgt. William A. Keane, c 1942
William Keane (1922-2011) is best known as the cartoonist of the newspaper comic strip The Family Circus. Keane served in the Army during World War II and drew for Yank and Stars and Stripes. This cartoon appeared in Yank, the Army Weekly, a magazine written and produced by Soldiers of enlisted rank. |
