Representing Manhattan Skyscrapers, the sculpture was Donated by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. The gift was presented on his behalf by his sister Princess Desirae Baroness Silfverschiold from Sweden during her visit to New York in May 1991. Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar accepted the gift on behalf of the United Nations. |
