Originally presented in Bangkok in 2010, the imagery used in this installation has been updated by the artist to recognize contemporary and ongoing struggles for international human rights. Alongside interpretations of media images of Thai political protests, the artist has included reproductions of recent and historic news images taken from various expressions of protest held on the National Mall in Washington DC.
Some of the wall drawings contain violent imagery. Adults may wish to preview the gallery before entering with children. |
