Pinball -- Only One Earth 2007-2008:
Based on the 1964 Gottlieb game North Star which featured polar bears & walruses, Eskimos playing the guitar, & accompanist wearing miniskirts. He replaced the cold-war era graphic kitsch of the original game with a warning from the polar north that the [sic] "The Eye Scabs are Melting" & a compendium of his familiar imagery. Wiley continues to stray outside the boundaries of fine art into the realm of popular culture with no apologies to the art critics or the art market. |
