Repair the Jefferson Memorial Plaza and Seawall:
National Mall and Memorial Parks will repair the Jefferson Memorial plaza and seawall beginning in November 2009. The project consists of 41 four-foot diameter drilled shafts and 53 eighteen-inch battered piles to support a new seawall and the existing north plaza. The historic seawall stone cladding will be restored and reinstalled. |
