The model for the figure on the right is the sculptor, Joanna Campbell Blake. Working for [Ray] Kaskey Studio Inc. She died on May 22, 2016 in a motorcycle crash while celebrating her birthday in Italy. Her other works include:

* The Contrabands and Freedmen's Cemetery memorial which was unveiled in Alexandria, VA in 2014
