Seen here at the Silver Spring Thanksgiving Day Parade back in 2002, Charles Moose passed on November 25, 2021. As Montgomery County Maryland's police chief, he led the 1,000-officer county effort In 2002 against the Beltway Snipers, two crazies who killed 10 people over a three-week period from their Chevy Caprice. Since most of the victims had died in Montgomery county, the effort to catch the snipers was coordinated here and Moose was the man in charge. Moose wrote a book about the event which violated some ethics rules and he was forced to resign. |
