Not for most of the 20th century. Relations between the KGB and MI6 were almost nonexistent after Britain attempted to undermine the young Bolshevik state and the Cambridge Five spy ring was exposed in the 1950s. In fact, they worked hard to undermine each other's countries. Today, however, Western intelligence agencies including MI6 cooperate with the successors to the KGB on such global threats of terrorism.
