Father Divine. They had said at the Vanderbilt mansion in Hyde Park that FDR agreed that the National Park Service would buy the mansion of a former enemy because Father Divine had expressed interest in buying it and FDR didn't want him near his house. Instead, Father Divine bought a mansion directly across the Hudson River from FDR Mansion itself. |
