What Is a Little Black Book?
In popular culture, little black books have a reputation linked to illicit love affairs. In reality, they are simply a convenient and portable way for storing information. This is not to say that these little black books are boring. When the artists shown here were out and about, they could carry their books with them and access the information whenever necessary. These books offer clues to the everyday happenings in the lives of the artists who kept them. |
