Bachem Ba 349 (1945). Natter. The "Viper" was a wooden single-seat rocket-powered interceptor designed to be launched vertically near German industrial targets subject to Allied attacks. In its nose it carried 24 Fohn 73 mm air-to-air rockets that the pilot would launch at American bombers before parachuting to safety. No Natters are known to have been used operationally. |
