Leave No Trace
"Leave No Trace" is a code of conduct for visitors to wilderness areas. Its principles aim to minimize human impact on wilderness lands.
A few "Leave No Trace" principles:

Plan Ahead and Prepare: The right skills and equipment are essential for a safe and enjoyable wilderness experience. Know regulations and prepare for extreme weather and other emergencies.

Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces: Good campsites are found, not made. Camp on rock, gravel, dry grasses, or snow.

Dispose of Waste Properly: If you packed it in, pack it out. Dispose of human waste in holes 6 to 8 inches deep, at least 200 feet from water sources, camp, and trails to avoid contamination.

Leave What You Find: Examine, but do not touch, cultural or historic structures and artifacts. Leave rocks, plants, and flowers as you found them.
