The vivid purple, white, and gold colors on the 1913 parade program, the herald sounding her horn, and the motto "Votes for Women" were the first indicators that the suffrage movement would be different from then on. Imagery became an important tool utilized by the NWP to draw public attention and support for the revitalized suffrage movement. The parade and succeeding pageant did not disappoint.
