AMIE and PUV
Oak Ridge, 2015
AMIE (Additive Manufacturing and Integrated Energy) is an experimental, DC-printed building created by Oak Ridge National Laboratory in collaboration with the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design. The structure was designed by SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill), continuing its long association with Oak Ridge. The structure shares power with a 3D-printed utility vehicle (PUV).
