Ray Harryhausen, the special effects wiz who, using his "Dynamation" technique, created the animation for "Mighty Joe Young" (1949), "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" (1958) and the sword fight against seven skeleton warriors in "Jason and the Argonauts" (1963), died on May 7. He's shown here at the San Diego Comic Con in 2007. |
