Actress Margot Kidder (on the right, hugging a fan for a photo at San Diego Comic-Con back in 2009), passed on May 13, 2018. She was best known for her role as Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve in the 1978 "Superman" movie. I had seen her at the premier of the "Mississippi Burning" movie back in 1988 (she wasn't in the movie but Gene Hackman had been in both of them). In case you're keeping track, of the major leads in the "Superman" film, two (Gene Hackman, Ned Beatty) are still around. Marlon Brando, Christopher Reeve, Margot, Jackie Cooper, Glenn Ford, Trevor Howard have all passed. |
