In December 1880 -- shortly after being admitted to the Supreme Court Bar -- Belva Lockwood became the first woman to argue before the Supreme Court, in Kaiser v. Stickney (1880). The case was entered in Justice Noah Swayne's Docket Book, along with the dates the case was argued and announced, as seen on page 126.
