Iconic New Yorker magazine cartoonist George Booth, seen here at a 2004 Smithsonian event, passed on November 1, 2022. His Wikipedia entry describes his cartoons as featuring "an older everyman, everywoman, or everycouple beset by modern complexity, perplexing each other, or interacting with cats and dogs." That's accurate enough. |
