"Rumors of War" by Kehinde Wiley was unveiled at Times Square on September 27, 2019. It will stay there until December, at which point it will be moved to Richmond, Virginia. It is a response to the Confederate statues which appear all over the south. While advocates for the monuments claim they commemorate valor and whatever, most were erected during times when blacks were being put back "in their place".

How many memorials do you see to the leaders on the losing side of a war? If Germany started to erect statues of Hitler, you know what that would represent. It's not about valor. It's about racism.
