The wallpaper below will be installed in the two front parlors. It has a gold diamond grid pattern with a scalloped swag ceiling border. The original paper was found in a dining room at the boarding house where Clara Barton lived.

The wallpaper below, featuring a foliate strip patter of leaves and vines, is typical of the Civil War era. The original paper was found stored in the attic of the 7th Street boarding house. The reproduction will be installed in the hallway of the Petersen House.
