My favorite picture from hanging out around the Get Your Knee Off Our Necks march (the anniversary event for the famous 1963 March on Washington) was this couple.

The couple -- Marvin-Alonzo Greer and Cheyney McKnight -- looked at photos from the 1963 march and decided to dress for that one. Marvin had made his poster based on pictures he had seen at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and Cheyney's pennant was the same. They both sported (copies?) of buttons from that March. Except for the masks (which I was glad they wore), the only real difference is that pretty much every photo I remember of the 1963 march was in black and white.
