Gargoyles

More than 100 gargoyles decorate the outside of the building. But they do more than that. They protect the walls from rain damage, by moving water away from the walls. Gargoyles are rain spouts that are part of our gutter system. Grotesques are decorative carvings; their oversized features also help direct rain water away from the walls.
