This huge bone model of Adm Horatio Nelson's legendary flagship Victory is said to have taken fifteen French prisoners-of-war two years to build following the resounding British triumph at Trafalgar on October 21, 1805. According to the legend, the model was displayed atop Nelson's tomb in St. Paul's Cathedral for 27 years before it was removed for repairs in 1834. In 1915, it was acquired by the famous Wall Street financier EF Hutton, who brought it to the United States.
