The two square brown structures with a hole in the top situated directly abaft the ornate figurehead of Model No. 45 are what we would refer to today as "heads" or toilets for the use of the crew. However, in the 1760s when this model was built they were known as "seats of ease." Enclosed "roundhouses" at either end of the beakhead bulkhead were reserved for the ship's standing officers: the boatswain, the gunner, and the carpenter.
