Three men from the 10th Vermont received a Medal of Honor (two are included in a separate panel). Colonel William W. Henry received a Medal of Honor for his action at the Battle of Cedar Creek, October 19, 1864. He resigned from service for health reasons in December of 1864.

A total of 2,090 soldiers served in the regiment throughout the course of the war. Tenth Vermont Casualties during the Civil War September 1862 - June 1865.
