This is a useful map because it shows you the entire battle scene on July 9 1864. Locate the three main farms -- Best, Worthington, and Thomas. Now, put I-270 just to the left of the Thomas Farm and to the right of the Worthington Farm and you'll see how the battlefield's modern-day appearance has totally destroyed the view of the place. |
