Frauds Exposed
Anthony Comstock, 1880
One of Comstock's more renowned publications, Frauds Exposed, urged the public to enforce his laws and fight "the vampires who are casting deadly poison into the fountain of moral purity in the children." Comstock's work exposed lottery schemes and other "frauds" he encountered as postmaster general and promoted efforts to tame the "hydra-headed monster of Obscenity."
