The Gypsy Rose 1964 Chevrolet Impala lowrider is one of the most influential designs from the 1970s period of Los Angeles lowrider art.
It was created by Jesse Valadez (1946-2011), a founder and president of the Imperials car club; painted by artists Walter Prey (1947-2011) and Don Heckman; with an interior originally developed by Jesse's brother, Gil Valadez. Prior to his death, Jesse gave the car to his son Jesse Valadez II who is the present owner and steward of the Gypsy Rose lowrider.
