Fostering Intentional Communities
Women's music festivals were not only for music, they were also for feminist consciousness raising. Workshops were offered on a variety of topics from breast-feeding to political organizing. Within the festivals, "festiegoers" and organizers attempted to foster the values of equality that they wished to manifest in the world at large.
