Music has always been a means to make the work day pass more quickly. However, music also provides another way to agitate for equal treatment. Written in 1931, "Which Side Are You On?" illuminates the issues facing working women, and not just in female-dominated professions. This song in particular shows that the struggle of all workers is of concern to women and families. |
