The markings on this map, included in a summary report to the U.S. House of Representatives, indicate the sectors held and the ground gained by American divisions in 1918. The map excludes U.S. advances made during the offensives at Meuse-Argonne, St. Mihiel, and Chateau-Thierry because of the complexity of unit movements during those large battles. |
