Lisa Benson exhibits strong drawing skills and talent for developing apt visual metaphors in this cartoon in which an empty cornucopia stands for fiscal policies empty of material promise. Since she began contributing two cartoons a week for Victor Valley Daily Press in 1982, the Washington Post Writers Group began syndicating her work in 2007. Bringing a more conservative perspective to issues than many peers, she adds variety to the fold. |
