Early in his career, Carlos Beltrán hoped to last ten or fifteen years in the big leagues, "but more important to me is winning." With nineteen seasons under his belt -- like the one that used to go around this jersey -- the nine-time All-Star outfielder returned to Houston in 2017 to contribute as a designated hitter. His purpose remained the same: "I want to do well, but I just want the team to win." They did -- winning the World Series that year. |
