2015 Steamroller Prints
For the 2015 Alt Press Fest, local artist Andrew Rice brought together a number of Salt Lake City printmakers to create large-scale blocks loosely centered around the idea of playing cards. Each artist carved a 3.5-foot by 3-foot block that was able to interconnect with every other block at some key connection points. Two blocks were randomly combined and a steamroller was used to print the images on one large piece of paper that was approximately 3.5 feet by 6 feet. This exhibit features the original blocks and various prints created at the Alt Press Fest steamroller workshop on July 18, 2015. |
