Nick Auclair's first novel, "Steel's Treasure," won an honorable mention in the Eric Hoffer Awards for Short Prose and Independent Books. His latest military/political thriller, "Steel's Gold," continues the treasure-hunting series featuring U.S. Air Force Captain William Steel, an intelligence officer in the Philippines, which is loosely based on Auclair's more than 20 years of experience as a US intelligence officer, five of those in the Philippines.
